Ayssar tackled this by researching Process Safety Awareness among teams on aging North Sea platforms. Collaborating with leadership, she engaged directly with workers to gauge their understanding and developed customised mentoring modules to enhance awareness of operational risks.
Her one-hour interactive sessions replace traditional training with discussions and hands-on activities like Jenga, fostering personal connections and improving risk awareness.
Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with a significant increase in MAH awareness. The sessions enhanced engagement and safety across Offshore platforms and Onshore sites. globally recognised, it received an IChemE International Award for Training and Education. Its innovation has inspired organisations worldwide, leading to improved workforce knowledge in Process Safety.
